Jincheng Anthracite Mining finds non-coal businesses profitable in H1
Thanks to its new non-coal businesses, the Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group (JAMG) realized an income of 8.83 billion yuan ($1.44 billion) in the first half of 2013, exceeding expectations at a time when the coal industry was in a recession.
JAMG has been working on an industrial transformation by looking for new development patterns in the coal industry and in non-coal businesses.
In the first half, its non-coal businesses help it weather the storm in the coal industry, with help coming from such areas as environmental protection, biomedicine, and logistics, bring both profits and even robust growth.
