The Shanxi provincial economy and information committee has reported that the city of Taiyuan, the provincial capital, recently joined a group of 68 cities that will be national information consumption pilots, the only city in the province to make the list, to promote the development of information consumption and urban transformation.
Taiyuan's job is to emphasize the improvement in the information infrastructure up to the end of 2015 and build safer infrastructure with the best broadband system. The municipal government is expected to attend to citizens'needs and at the same time set up new information experience centers and new information demonstration projects.
