The Shanxi Brands China Tour this year is making its first stop in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, on April 17, and staying until the 22rd, at the city' Intl Expo Center, which covers a 1,000-square-meter area and has many themed activities, such as folk songs and noodle demonstrations to display Shanxi's charms.
Its tour last year was quite a success, covering eight cities, and bringing in 12.65 million yuan in revenues and contracts worth more than 1 billion yuan.
A spokesperson for this year's tour said it will travel to several cities, such as Nanjing, Tianjin, Xi'an in Shaanxi province, Kunming, Yunnan province, Changchun, Jilin province, Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Fuzhou, Fujian province, Hongkong, and Macao. Its focus, as usual, will be on Shanxi's better-known brands and famous companies, with some boutique tourist programs being promoted.
Sun Yuejin, head of the provincial commerce bureau said that the theme of this year's tour is "professionalism, typical conditions, and internationalization" to increase the exposure of Shanxi brands in China, and work to explore foreign markets.
