When the Beijing-Shanxi Industrial Cooperation and Development Conference opened on May 14, in Beijing, Shanxi province's vice-governor, Wang Yixin, joined the heads of provincial departments and cities in taking par to explain the province’s industrial development and projects and industries to connect more with Beijing.
Wang said that the conference's purpose is to help implement the Suggestions on the Regional Cooperation Framework Agreement that Shanxi and Beijing signed in 2013, to bring Shanxi into the Bohai Rim Economic Area and support Beijing in improving urban facilities for mutual benefits for Shanxi and Beijing.
Cao Xuecheng, vice mayor of the city of Datong, Shanxi, used the conference to describe the city's advantages, industries, and preferential policies and to explain how it will explore better models of cooperation between departments and corporations in energy, electric power, finance, equipment manufacturing, and bio-medicines.
