Longtan Park sits in the downtown area of Taiyuan and enjoys superior geographical position and environment. The park features natural landscape sceneries and is an ideal place for locals to enjoy leisure and social activities. It covers Heilongtan's south and north lakes and runs more than 1,000 meters south to north and 520 meters east to west. The park covers an area of about 40 hectares, including 18.74 hectares in aquatic area.
The park has four scenic spots featuring modern and ancient elements, ecology and water activities. City, human, ecology and leisure elements are fully merged in landscape design, which displays not only local history but also distinctive local culture.
