Taiyuan Stone Tablets Park features cherry blossoms every April. Together with the blooming bauhinia flowers, flowering plums and peach blossoms, whose flowering period coincides with cherry blossoms, the park is colorful and splendid in spring.

Later in the cherry blossom's blooming season, the falling blossoms are just like pink rain when there is a breeze.

Early in April, about 5,000-6,000 Chinese flowering crabapple trees of over 30 varieties bloom one after another in Longtan Park. The Chinese flowering crabapple symbolizes noble and elegant features and is hailed as the “Imperial Concubine of Flowers” or “Goddess of Flowers”. The clusters of blooming flowers are just like brocade.

The lilac is a symbol of melancholy in Chinese culture. In a Chinese poem named Lane in the Rain, the poet describes a girl as a bouquet of lilacs:

However, not all the lilacs are gnawed by melancholy. The lilacs in the park have bright colors and a delicate fragrance. The lilacs are no longer a symbol of worries, but can help treat melancholy.

The Chinese peony is used as a gift to express the love or the unwillingness to part between lovers in ancient times.

There are over 10,000 tree peonies in Jinci Park. For Taiyuan residents, they can admire the tree peonies in the park. There is no need to travel to Luoyang in Henan province or Heze in Shandong province, two places well-known for this kind of flower.

The tree peony is generally known as the "King of Flowers" in China. It was granted as a national flower and symbolizes honor, wealth, aristocracy and love, as well as feminine beauty.
