The tourism administrators on Mount Wutai, Shanxi province, announced that they have opened two hotlines, as of April 26, to prepare for the coming May Day holiday and for better service during the tourism season, at 400-0350-236 for travel advisory, and at 400-0350-226 for complaints.
Visitors can use the two numbers at their convenience to get access to all departments in the scenic area, including, transportation, bus stations, public security, traffic, advice, religion and relics info, the weather station, hospitals, industry and commerce bureau, and the price bureau, with all departments required to maintain a 24-hour service.
The scenic zone has done an overall improvement of tourism services on April 10 to rebuild its image as a national AAAAA tourism spot after getting negative feedback and a warning from the National Tourism Administration about not meeting national standards in some areas. The administrators say they have improved most facilities and will put the tourism market in order within three months.
