A delegation of 22 travel agents from the American Automobile Association (AAA) came to Shanxi for an on-site investigation recently.
The delegation's visiting was a result of the province's first travel global buyer conference last November, which attracted about 300 overseas travel agents from nearly 30 countries and regions.
From April 26 to 28, these American travel agents' investigation route included stops at the province's Jinci Temple, Chongshan Temple, the Qiao Family Compound and Shanxi Museum. They were impressed by the province's history and culture, according to them.
American Automobile Association is a not-for-profit federation of motor clubs throughout North America, with 54 million members in US and Canada.
The AAA travel delegation's Shanxi tour was organized by the Los Angeles Office of China National Tourism Administration and AmericanTours International, a travel giant in US.
