The credit files of practicing lawyers in North China's Shanxi province will be completed soon, making the credit information of over 6.400 lawyers available to the public.
The initiative of releasing lawyers' credit files, including basic information, awards and industrial sanctions, was started by the province's lawyers association last May.
An information management system was developed to facilitate this initiative. To date, Shanxi has 588 law firms and over 6,400 practicing lawyers. As the credit information system goes into operation, information of these firms and lawyers will open to inquiry and monitoring from the public.
