Shanxi province’s capital, Taiyuan, has claimed a spot in the top 10 ranking based on the national tourist satisfaction survey of the second quarter in 2015, carried by China Tourism Academy.
60 cities were taken as samples in the survey, and Taiyuan ranked in 10th place with a score of 78.4, much higher than its first quarter showing in 29th place.
The survey report showed that in the second quarter, the national average satisfaction was 75.45, an evident increase from last quarter. Moreover, half of the 60 samples showed sharp growth.
The report also indicated major causes of complaint, such as high ticket prices and the similarities of different scenic spots.
Guang‘an in Sichuan province, Chongqing city and Anhui province’s Hefei hit the top three places in the satisfaction ranking of the second quarter.
