Shanxi province's rural resident per capita income increased 645 yuan ($98) or 7.3 percent to 9,454 yuan in 2015, thanks to a slew of policies benefiting rural areas and agriculture.
Last year, Shanxi came up with 10 policies that were beneficial for its rural and agricultural sector; including offering capital for seven years in a row and guaranteeing rural land contractual management rights.
Rural residents' income from wages and salary maintained a stable growth and reached 4,922 yuan in 2015, a year-on-year increase of 7.7 percent and 52.1 percent of total rural resident per capita income.
Net income from non-salaried operations grew slightly by 5.7 percent to 2,624 yuan, 22 percent of rural resident per capita income growth.
Income from transfer and property were at 1,766 yuan and 142 yuan respectively, constituting 20.5 percent and 2.9 percent of rural resident per capita income.
