| Yuci district |
The Yuci district is located in the Taiyuan Basin, bordering on Shouyang county and Heshun county in the east, Taigu county in the south, adjacent to Qingxu county in the west, and linked with Taiyuan in the northwest. Covering an area of 1,328 square kilometers, it is the political, economic, and transportation center of Jinzhong city.
Yuci ranks among top ten districts, counties and cities in Shanxi province in terms of composite indicators. It is also a national ecological demonstration area, a district with cultural advance, and the home of Jin merchant culture.
It leads the progress in the Jinzhong 108 Corridor Regional Integration Development Demonstration Area, with its economic indicators at the first place in Jinzhong city. It will focus on industrial integration, urbanization, and the construction of Yuci Industrial Park.
