A new business incubator, Xinhe Science Park, opened in Taiyuan, Shanxi province on Sept 3, and is already supporting 16 local startups from the e-commerce, financial and other high-tech industries.
Xinhe has invested in making the park a truly cutting-edge facility. The park's management committee communicated with incubators in Silicon Valley in the United States during the planning of the park, and introduced their innovative ideas into the final design.
As a result, Xinhe is a multi-functional platform where startups receive entrepreneurship support, share resources and get professional training. With strong financial and technical support, the park facilitates companies' growth and expansion.
The first period of the project to be carried out covers an area of 8,200 square meters and contains 22 studios and eight large offices, in addition to providing numerous technical resources such as ready-made website and mobile app designs.
"The park creates a free and convenient makerspace with complete infrastructure, leading entrepreneurs and mentors," said Wang Zhi, the director of the science park. "The science park will serve as an incubator which advances local economy and industrial upgrading by innovation."
