A shopping fair focusing on special purchases for Spring Festival will be held on Jan 6 in Taiyuan, with the aim of attracting Shanxi residents who hunt for bargains as well as fine products.
The annual fair, which will take place from Jan 6 to 22, and is hosted by China Taiyuan Coal Transaction Center and Beijing Hualian Hypermarket Co, aims to provide Shanxi locals with high-quality goods and set up a platform to facilitate trade among consumers, dealers and manufacturers.
There will be nine themed exhibition areas, including areas for recreation and catering, displaying various holiday items at the fair. During the event, sales promotions, raffles and entertainment, such as Shanxi Opera, will take place.
Compared with the previous three events, this year's fair will be the biggest ever organized with an exhibition area covering 36,000 square meters and more than 800 booths.
For consumers' convenience, sponsors of the fair will arrange special taxis and free transport between residents’ homes and the site of the event. Shopping trolleys will also be available for visitors in the exhibition areas.
