Changzhi city in Shanxi province opened its manufacturing sales promotion week on Sept 18 to showcase the city's strengths in manufacturing.
The promotion week, which will last until Sept 22, set exhibition areas for industrial products, Changzhi's industrial history, innovation and entrepreneurship, and business culture, demonstrating the city's industrial achievements in recent years.
More than 400 businesses displayed some 1,100 kinds of products in the manufacturing sector.
Changzhi city is an important base for the energy, chemical and heavy industries with more than 319 industrial companies above designated size. From January to July, the industrial added value of the city reached 42.09 billion yuan ($6.39 billion), representing year-on-year growth of 10.2 percent.
