The 2017 Shanxi Tourism Investment and Financing Project Fair opened in Jinzhong, North China's Shanxi province, on Sept 21.
More than 300 participants attended the fair including leaders from Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission, six mayors from Shanxi province, representatives from domestic and foreign tourism investment companies, managers from scenic spots in Shanxi province, as well as reporters from various media organizations.
The fair proceeded in four stages.
The Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission enacted preferential policies for tourism to the area and publicized tourism projects available for investment.
A round-table discussion was initiated for the second stage, involving scholars and representatives from tourism investment companies.
Agreements were signed for tourism projects in Shanxi including one between Jinzhong municipal government and Hainan Airlines to develop helicopter tours of the Ancient City of Pingyao.
Trade negotiations over the development of Shanxi tourism brands and cooperation between the local government and tourism investment companies took place during the last stage of the fair.
