Shanxi brands and specialties are winning wide acclaim at the second China-Mongolia Expo recently opened in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the fourth stop of the "Shanxi brands China tour" this year.
More than 800 products in 15 different categories from 46 Shanxi companies are on display.
The expo is a platform from which Shanxi hopes to promote Shanxi brands and culture in Hohhot and regionally, noted Li Zhisheng, vice-director of the Shanxi department of commerce.
"The expo and 'Shanxi brands China tour' provide platforms for companies from Shanxi to promote their products. It is also a remarkable opportunity for Inner Mongolia to work with Shanxi on business development,” said Li Jun, vice-director of the department of commerce of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, adding that the region will give Shanxi its full support.
This year's China-Mongolia Expo, which is being held from Sept 26 to 30, covers a total exhibition area of 49,000 square meters. It's expected that guests from 30-odd countries including Russia and more than 2,000 executives of multinational companies will attend, joined by representatives from overseas business associations.
A delegation led by Wang Yixin, vice-governor of Shanxi, attended the opening ceremony of the event.
