Glassware by 11 companies from Qixian and Wenxi counties in Shanxi province was displayed in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province during the city's 25th international gift and home product fair from Oct 20 to 23, attracting significant numbers of visitors and businesspeople.
In the Shanxi exhibition area, which covered 282 square meters, various kinds of glass products ranging from vases to small dishes drew visitors' attention.
"Four businesses have reached intentions to form partnerships during the morning since the fair opened," said Yang Xuejian, general manager of Changyuchuan Artwork Co from Qixian county.
Through the fair, Shanxi aimed to expand the market for glass products from Shanxi and help glassware companies in Shanxi improve their reputation, according to Jiao Huisheng, deputy director of Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
More than 2,300 businesses from some 10 countries and regions, including Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan and Thailand, took part in the international fair which exhibited 20 categories of products, such as ceramics, handicrafts and household appliances.
