Shanxi started collecting artworks themed around the Yellow River, the Great Wall and Taihang Mountains from the public starting from Feb 26 and the selected artworks will be displayed at Taiyuan Art Museum from May 1 to 15.
The works of art are required to show the natural beauty of the Yellow River, the Great Wall and Taihang Mountains and express local unique history and culture.
Apart from artwork collecting, Shanxi will invite artists to draw related traditional Chinese paintings and oil paintings. The deadline for original productions is April 1.
