A culture and tourism industrial park will be constructed in Xiangfen county, Shanxi province, with an investment of 2 billion yuan ($315.59 million), according to an agreement signed between the county government and Beijing Jiucifang Cultural Media Co on March 8.
The Yintaiping Culture and Tourism Industrial Park, situated at the site of a deserted industrial area and ancient village in Fencheng town, will include buildings, streets and a large film studio in the style of the Republic of China period (1912-1949). It aims to be the largest comprehensive film and TV base in North China and boost local tourism.
