Imperial Palace’s first cultural products research and development center opened in Pingyao city in North China’s Shanxi province on March 25.
The center is a joint project between the government of Pingyao city and the Imperial Palace Culture Service Center. The two sides will cooperate on the design, research and development, production, sales and marketing of cultural products to promote the development of Pingyao’s culture industry, by drawing on the successful experience of Imperial Palace.
Currently, Imperial Palace has already developed over 9,100 cultural products, with its annual sales volume exceeding 1 billion yuan ($158.4 million).
