Lingqiu Museum, Datong city's first county-level museum, opened on May 18.
In the southeast of Lingqiu county, the museum covers 2,500 square meters and is responsible for collection, safekeeping and display of cultural relics in the county. There are now more than 310 cultural relics displayed in the museum.
Apart from relics, pictures, models, sculptures and sand tables as well as multimedia including videos and e-books are used to show the history of Lingqiu county.
The opening of Lingqiu Museum marked standardization in local cultural relics' collection and protection.
