A tour of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was initiated in Shanxi Hospital of TCM, Taiyuan, on July 1.
More than 50 experts from 16 hospitals offered the residents with voluntary medical consultation and checkups.
At a TCM special service experience area, volunteers provided visitors with services such as massages for children, TCM tea tasting and judgment of real and fake TCM. Visitors also experienced pulse diagnosis using TCM methods, learned TCM therapy for health keeping and toured Shanxi Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
More than 1,000 people took part in the event, receiving some 2,000 brochures. The event was also broadcast live online, attracting more than 30,000 viewers.
