Fu Shan

Fu Shan (1607-1684) was a scholar of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) with the original name of Dingchen, style name of Qingzhu, and common name of Zhuyidaoren. He is a famous thinker, medical scientist and painter and was considered a model of integrity and was called the God of Medicine at that time. Fu developed a "Bazhen Soup" made of lamb, marrow, distiller grains, noodles, lotus, yam, ginger, and other herbs to improve the immune system of sick or elder people. It is also a characteristic breakfast item in the city of Taiyuan, promoted as strengthening the kidneys, promoting blood circulation, and warming the stomach.
