The Tianta (Heavenly Tower) Lion Dance originating during the Sui (581-618) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, is full of vigor and surprising sudden moves. Performed on a towering scaffold, it is a breathtaking acrobatic display.
The well-preserved Tianta Lion Dance culture gives researchers a valuable insight into the history of local dance and folklore.
It was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
