A total of 1,200 runners from 22 provinces, cities and autonomous regions across China and 30 international participants raced in the mountainous Dazhai scenic area in Xiyang county, Shanxi province, on Oct 6.
The mountain marathon consisted of a 30 km professional and 10 km amateur race.
Wan Ma from Qinghai province won the men's 30km race in 2 hr 16 min 39 sec and Hebei's Tang Wei took the title for the women's race with a time of 3:5:55. And Shanxi runners triumphed in the 10km races –– Pang Ke won the men's and Liu Suhua won the women's, with times of 46:17 and 54:24.
