A job fair targeting young people in Shuozhou city, Shanxi province, was held on Oct 15 with more than 200 job hunters attending the event.
More than 400 job vacancies including those for course advisors, electrical engineers, physicians, teachers, and accountants were offered by some 50 companies at the fair. Over 60 people received offers on the spot.
It's the sixth year for the job fair organized by Shuozhou Committee of China Communist Youth League, Shuozhou Federation of Trade Unions, Shuozhou Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises Service Center, Shuozhou bureau of human resources and social security, Shuozhou Federation of Industry and Commerce.
So far, more than 350 companies in the city have provided over 1,000 vacancies through the job fair, attracting around 1,300 job seekers and hiring 300 people through the event.
