A seminar on the protection of cultural relics in Shanxi province was recently held at Peking University in Beijing.
Representatives of Shanxi Cultural Relics Bureau, Shanxi Museum and Peking University, and some 40 trainees from five Peking University-Shanxi Cultural Relics Bureau training classes attended the seminar.
The trainees presented what they had learned so far in a selection of short self-made videos.
Reports by professors at the School of Archaeology and Museology at Peking University on professional training, the scientific protection of cultural relics, exhibition planning and the preservation of ancient architecture were also delivered.
Shanxi province reached a strategic partnership with Peking University in August 2018 to work with the university on the application of scientific discoveries, training professionals, conducting joint research, and building scientific research bases.
The seminar formed part of the agreement made by the two sides.
