Taiyuan Wusu International Airport launched its first international flight for 2019, the Taiyuan-Siem Reap route, on Jan 16.
Operated by Cambodia's Lanmei Airlines, the Taiyuan-Siem Reap service is flown using an A321 aircraft and is scheduled to fly three times every two weeks.
The flight LQ878/9 takes off from Siem Reap at 17:25, arriving at Taiyuan at 23:25. The returning flight departs at 00:25 from Taiyuan and will arrive in Siem Reap at 03:55.
Located around 3111 kilometers north of Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, Siem Reap is a world famous tourist destination for its temple complex Angkor Wat which is one of the largest religious monuments in the world.
The new direct flight will provide greater convenience to travelers and business people in the two regions and further improve Taiyuan airport's coverage of destinations in Southeast Asia.
