Over 2,500 volunteers rode out with determination in Taiyuan on March 3 to promote the second Youth Games of China to be opened later in Shanxi province.
Riding shared bikes to Shanxi Hongdenglong Sports Center, the volunteers took to their saddles to highlight the major sports event, performed clean-ups of bus stations on the way and even extended a helping hand to maintain public order.
The second Youth Games of China, to be mainly held in Taiyuan, is scheduled to run for eight to 10 days during August and September. There will be 305 events in 26 major sports, including track and field and swimming.
