The old library was relocated with a northward movement 1.09 meters, on Nov 21, in a successful completion of the first step in a larger project of moving the municipal exhibition hall, Datong Daily has reported.

According to the report, the slightly re-located library is perfectly stable with no structural damage.

The 5,745-sq-m library is just one of five major movements needed for the exhibition hall project.
