Two large stone horses that researchers unearthed in the Nanjiao district of the city of Datong, Shanxi province, several days ago, will be housed in the local museum's warehouse and will go on display in a proper setting later on, local authorities reported, on Nov 5.

The fairly unadorned horses, two meters long, are Ming Dynasty relics according to the head of the Datong museum and were burial items, judging by their shape. The location of the grave site has yet to be determined.
