The 2014 Datong Jade and Rare Stone Cultural Exhibition is set to begin, on May 16, in the Heyang Art Gallery in the city of Datong, Shanxi province with a large display local jade and rare stones and treasures from several hundred jade businesses in South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The exhibits cover rare stones, crystal, jade articles, agate, emeralds, diamonds, accessories, red stoneware, root carving, antiques, painting and calligraphy, flowers, and bonsai.

Other activities during the exhibition include training by jade experts, jade selection, and a jade forum.

The exhibition, which runs to May 20, is sponsored by the China Ornamental Stone Association, Shanxi Ornamental Stone Association and Datong publicity dep't.
