A disaster relief and donation center in the city of Datong, Shanxi province has announced a plan where Datong's people can help the earthquake victims of Ludian county in Yunnan province, through donations.

The unfortunate county was struck by a magnitude-6.5 earthquake on Aug 7, and people all over China have responded with ways to aid the victims. In Datong, the center announced that people can make donations in the Donghai Hotel courtyard, at 31 Daqing Rd. The phone number is 0352-511-0573.

Donations can also be made via a direct bank transfer to the center, where the account number is 14001623908050500085.

The center also suggests that people donate cash rather than relief supplies, because it is easier to transport. But, any supplies or goods that are donated will be collected by the civil affairs bureau and transport to Yunnan in a timely way.
