The Shanxi Development and Reform Commission has released the first batch of low-carbon pilots at the provincial level, consisting of a total of 15 Shanxi cities and counties, including the cities of Taiyuan and Suzhou, Datong’s Yanggao county and Xinzhou city’s Xinfu district.
The determination of the low-carbon pilots is an important action for Shanxi’s exploration of low-carbon development of the province’s high-carbon industries. It will help speed up the transformation of economic development paths and structures. The 15 total pilots were determined through application and professional assessments. The professional opinions said that the governments of these pilots attached a lot of importance to low-carbon green development and already formed some foundation for low-carbon development.
These low-carbon pilots will enjoy preferential policies in terms of key low-carbon project construction in order to push forward low-carbon industries, according to the province’s development and reform commission.
