A ceremony was held to mark the tutor appointments of Shanxi Green Energy Postgraduate Education and Innovation Center, a joint organization of Shanxi University and Shanxi Zhangze Power Co, at the latter’s headquarter on Oct 26.

Six people from the power company were appointed as tutors of the center at the ceremony, including the company’s president, general-manager and chief-engineer.

Taiyuan-headquarted Zhangze Power Co is a listed company which works in thermal power. In July 2014, Shanxi University reached a strategic cooperation framework with the company, and in December of the same year, the two parties established Shanxi Green Energy Postgraduate Education and Innovation Center, as a step toward in-depth cooperation for projects and professionals’ cultivation in the field of control engineering.

The model of combined education and innovation center with the double-tutor system (including tutor in university and from company) will benefit both the company and university.
