Crustacean experts meet at Shanxi University

The China Zoological Society held its largest seminar on crustaceans in Shanxi University, Taiyuan from Oct 23 to 26.

Sponsored by the Chinese Society of Oceanology and Limnology,  China Zoological Society and its crustaceans branch, nearly 300 experts, doctoral and postgraduate students in the field of crustaceans research from over 50 universities and research institutes attended the academic meeting, the 13th of its kind.

Li Sidian, deputy secretary of Shanxi University’s Party committee attended the seminar along with representatives from the university’s College of Life Science and Office of Science and Technology.

Li welcomed attendees and introduced the university and its zoological research. He added that the University was proud to organize the seminar, a chance for biologists to communicate and broaden their academic visions.

The seminar focused on immunology, physiology, and crustacean biodiversity .
