Two renowned medical professors from the University of Minnesota in the US were awarded the honorable title of guest professors at Shanxi University at a biomedical forum held on April 21.

Jia Suotang, president of Shanxi University attended the forum and presented the two experts with their letters of appointment.

The two outstanding professors made a speech respectively at the forum to the faculty and students, giving insights into their advanced research achievements in each of their fields.

Li Ling, a lifetime professor at the University of Minnesota, specializes in lipid and lipoprotein disorder, cardiovascular disease and neurodegenerative disease while Professor Wu Jianming focuses on the human autoimmune disease.

Jia remarked that he hoped that both schools can enhance academic exchange and cooperation, in order to inject new energy into the development for Shanxi University's biomedical principles.
