First provincial physics contest held at Shanxi University

Talented young university students in Shanxi took part in the province's first ever physics competition held at Shanxi University on May 9.
This competition, initiated by Shanxi Provincial Department of Education and the Shanxi Physical Society is aimed to serve as a platform for training high-quality talents and promote innovation and teamwork among students.
A total of 12 teams from universities across Shanxi province took part in this three-day contest. Each team consisted of five members who needed to work together to solve a physics problem and win a debating contest.
Xing Long, vice-president of Shanxi University expressed a warm welcome to all the participants at the opening ceremony.
He said the contest would help to improve students' academic research abilities and foster local talents across Shanxi's universities.
