The opening ceremony of a graduation exhibition held by the college of fine arts at Shanxi University on May 19.

The Shanxi University art gallery hosted a graduation exhibition on May 19, displaying art works across the disciplines of wood block engraving, Chinese painting, visual communication design, city design and fine arts.

The pieces, contributed by graduates from the university's college of fine arts, all carried a construction theme, and put on display the fruits of the students' hard work throughout their study.

Attending the exhibition, Shanxi University's vice president, Xing Long said the show marks the end of the students' long educational journey at the university and the beginning of their lives outside in society.

He added that the exhibition showed an excellent outlook for the college of fine arts and served as an important window to showcase the cultural achievements made on campus.

Xing wished the students all the best with their future endeavors.
