SXU publishes significant molecular science find
Updated : 2017-02-20
Shanxi University's molecular science institute has made three separate breakthroughs in the detection of micro molecule thiols, which have application potential in both medicine and agriculture.
The three findings were published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Organic Letters, and Analytical Chemistry, respectively.
The research group headed by professor Yin Caixia used fluorescent probes to visualize the metabolism of cysteine (Cys) in living cells, in three different ways. It is this first time these processes have been used in this way.
The studies were funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
