SXU's lab construction plan to go ahead

The Shanxi Science and Technology Department held a conference at Shanxi University (SXU) recently to discuss the school's plan to build a mathematical techniques and big data analysis laboratory on disease control and prevention.
At the conference, Professor Jin Zhen from SXU outlined the aims, significance and construction plan for the lab.
An 11-member expert panel headed by Xu Zongben, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the conference and approved the plan.
Experts also provided valuable suggestions on the lab's research direction and expressed the hope that it would contribute to the economic growth of the province.
