The 4th "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Shanxi University (SXU) on July 8. More than 500 school officials, review experts, instructors and students participated in the kick-off meeting.

Yin Jie, vice-chancellor of SXU, addressed the opening ceremony. Wang Zhenrong, director of the office of academic affairs, presided over the event.

In his speech, Yin pointed out that the competition is an important starting point for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the school.

In recent years, Shanxi University, as a model university for innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, a national top 50 universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, shoulders the mission of scientific research, personnel training, service society, cultural promotion, and international exchange, added Yin.

Through integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into practical training, college students’ awareness and innovative abilities have been significantly improved.
