The inauguration ceremony of Shanxi Yi-ology Research Association was held at Shanxi University (SXU) on July 12.

Yi-ology, an ancient Chinese philosophy, mainly focuses the study of The Book of Changes or Zhouyi, one of the oldest Chinese classics. It is a book of divination practice mixed with profound and peculiar philosophical theory.

It is accepted that the book was completed as early as the Warring States Times, and was elevated to the foremost place among the Han dynasty, entitled the head of the ‘Five Classics'.

More than 120 experts and scholars from universities and research institutes in the province attended the conference.
