“Oriental Red” female volleyball team from Shanxi University (SXU) won fourth place at women’s high-level group B and sixth place at women’s physical college group during the 14th National College Student Beach Volleyball Championship held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 19.

The SXU women volleyball team is one of the earlier teams to participate in the sport among Chinese universities.

The competition was hosted by Federation of University Sports of China and undertaken by Inner Mongolia Xiangshawan Tourism Co.

It attracted more than 100 teams from over 50 universities across the country, including Tsinghua University, Chongqing Normal University, and Central University of Finance and Economics.
