Jia Suotang, chancellor of Shanxi University, accompanied relevant department leaders and personnel, inspected the construction site of Dongshan campus of the school on Sept 8.

At the construction site, Jia inquired in detail about the progress of the project, and praised the efforts made by the relevant departments and workers. Jia checked the overall planning of the project and the current progress of the construction.

He hoped that the infrastructure office and related construction units should fulfill their duties to ensure the safety and quality the new campus site.

He stressed that all relevant units should attach great importance to the construction of Dongshan Campus of Shanxi University, and must pay close attention to the completion of demolition and relocation, and create favorable conditions for project construction.

It is necessary to listen to opinions and choose the cultural relic protection plan, scientifically organize the construction and minimize the impact on the surrounding residents, added Jia.

Besides, Jia mentioned that engineers and workers must implement various flood prevention measures for safe construction during the flood season and come up with a feasible plan as soon as possible to accelerate the construction of the new campus of Shanxi University.
