Wu Weihua, an alumnus from Shanxi University, visited the school on Oct 13, and met with officials from the university.

From 1978 to 1982, Wu studied at the Biology Department, the present College of Life Science. Wu now is the chairman of the Central Committee of Jiu San Society and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

At the school history museum, Wu carefully viewed the important historical materials that recorded the changes of Shanxi University.

Wu said that he was very grateful to the training at Shanxi University and expressed his expectation towards the future development of the school in academic research and scientific practice.
