Clarivate Analytics, a leading global provider of information services, released the Highly Cited Researchers 2018 list on Nov 27, with Professor Qian Yuhua from Shanxi University, the only academic from Shanxi province, appearing on the list.

Qian Yuhua, deputy director of the Committee on Granular Computing and Knowledge Discovery of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, is engaged in research on artificial intelligence, big data, complex networks, data mining and machine learning.

In recent years, Qian has presided over and participated in more than 20 national research programs, published more than 100 SCI papers in prestigious international academic journals like Artificial Intelligence, and won two invention patents. From 2014 to 2018, he was listed as one of China's most regularly cited scholars.
