Shanxi University (SXU) and the government of Jincheng city held a meeting on Dec 10 to explore further partnerships in the opto-mechatronics industry.

A solid foundation has been built for collaboration between the city and the university. In recent years, the College of Physics and Electronic Engineering at SXU has worked with Foxconn in Jincheng on several different projects.

Liu Feng, mayor of Jincheng city, highlighted the city’s strengths in developing the opto-mechatronics industry from the aspects of human resources, capital and policies.

He promised that Shanxi University will further its partnerships with Jincheng in the training of professionals, product R&D, technical services, entrepreneurship and the application of scientific achievements for boosting the local opto-mechatronics industry.
