Taiwan Students Application Guidelines for the 2019 Undergraduate Programs

Acceptance and Notification
Shanxi University considers applications in accordance with its practices. Taiwan students should submit their application documents for verification of qualifications. Admission decisions will be made on the basis of the applicants' academic record at the 2019 Taiwan University Entrance Examination Subject Ability Test, as well as overall merits.
Shanxi University will publish the outcome of application on the application system of SXU’s Admissions Office by the end of July, 2019 and send out an Admissions Letter. Applicants can log into the online application system to view the result of their application and the delivery information of their admission package.
Tuition Fee
Students from Taiwan pay the same tuition fee as those in the Chinese mainland
Accommodation Information
Shanxi University provides housing facilities for Taiwan students; the accommodation fee is charged by SXU according to the standard fee approved by the price department of Shanxi province.
Admission and Qualification Review
1.Qualified Taiwan students should report to Shanxi University with the Admissions Letter, and the time for registration will be based on the time specified in the Admissions Letter. If you are unable to report on time, you should ask for leave in advance and get approval. Those who have not reported and have not taken leave within the specified time will be disqualified.
2.The validity period of a students’ entry and exit documents should be compatible with the study period.
3.Shanxi University will review the admission qualification of applicants and require that students undergo a physical examination. Those who do not meet the academic requirements at the 2019 Taiwan University Entrance Examination Subject Ability Test will be disqualified. Those who do not meet the medical examination requirements will be disqualified.
University Management and Graduation
1.Shanxi University is committed to implementing the Provisions for the Recruitment and Cultivation of Students in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province, issued by the Ministry of Education.
2.Students are required to complete the curriculum within the specific study period and fulfill the designated credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the Bachelor's degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.
3.Students can leave mainland China to visit relatives and friends at their own expense in the summer and winter vacations.
